Pour transmettre une tradition de chant ancestral, Aram et Virginia, un couple d’Arméniens de la diaspora, emmènent une troupe d’acteurs européens de l’Institut Grotowski de Wroclaw dans un voyage initiatique en Anatolie sur les lieux où autrefois cet art prospérait. Chemin faisant, leur questionnement fait réémerger la richesse d’une culture anéantie : le chant et le théâtre deviennent alors langue de création et de partage, souffle de vie.

Aram and Virginia are a couple belonging to the Armenian diaspora. In order to transmit an ancestral song tradition, they guide a group of actors of the Wroclaw Grotowski Institute to a trip in Anatolia, where this art, once, used to flourish. Their journey bring out the richness of a distroied culture. Music and thatre become, though, the language of creation and sharing, breath of life.

Aram e Virgina sono una coppia discendente dalla diaspora armena. Con lo scopo di trasmettere una tradizione di canto ancestrale, guidano un gruppo di attori dell’Istituto Grotowski di Wroclaw in un viaggio in Anatolia, dove questa arte, un tempo, prosperava. Il loro viaggio fa riemergere la ricchezza di una cultura annientata: il canto e il teatro diventano allora linguaggio di creazione e condivisione, soffio di vita.
